Special Evening Events on 27th and 28th of February, 2013

Zeiss-Planetarium Jena

Participants of the DPG conference will have the opportunity to visit the "Zeiss-Planetarium Jena", which is equipped with most recent technique, during a special evening event on 27 March 2013, 20:00.

After an introductory lecture by Dr. Hans Meinl of the Zeiss-Planetarium Jena about the history of the facilities, the presentation "Entdecker des Himmels: Von Stonehenge zur Raumstation" will show the planetarium's full scope of technique.

The price for this event is 7 EUR per person. The maximum number of participants is limited to 240. Tickets can be bought until Tuesday, 26 February, 12:00 at the info desk in the conference office.

Optisches Museum Jena (Optical Museum Jena)

For the participants of the DPG conference a special special guided tour is arranged on Thursday, 28 February 2013, 19:00 to the Optical Museum Jena.

The museum with its 90 year old history is a treasure chamber of optics and well worth seeing.

The price for this event is 7,5 EUR per person. The maximum number of participants is limited to 30. However, at least 20 persons need to participate, otherwise the visit will be cancelled. Tickets can be bought until Tuesday, 26 February, 12:00 at the info desk in the conference office. You will find information whether the visit will take place on the info board on Wednesday.
