Der Zugang zum Gebäude erfolgt über den Campus Ernst-Abbe-Platz. Achtung: Die Carl-Zeiss-Straße selbst liegt an der Rückseite des Gebäudes! The DPG-Frühjahrstagung (Spring Meeting) takes place in the University Building Carl-Zeiss-Straße 3, in the centre of Jena. The entrance to the building is at the Ernst-Abbe-Platz. Please note that the Carl-Zeiss-Street is located at the backside of the building.
Arrival by Train:
In Jena there are two separate train stations: The station "Jena Paradies" (ICE-connections north and south) and the "Bahnhof West" (connections east and west). Both stations are suitable for arrival. The campus Ernst-Abbe-Platz can be reached by walking within 10 minutes from both stations. But you can also take the bus (line 15) from Bahnhof West to the centre (Teichgraben), which is only one station.
The campus Ernst-Abbe-Platz is located in the centre, a bit hidden in the former Carl-Zeiss-Factory-Premises, vis-à-vis to the tower ("Intershop Tower"), which is hardly overseeable.
Arrival by Car:
Over the A4 (Frankfurt-Dresden) or the A9 (Munich-Berlin). People arriving from the north over the A9 can take the exit "Eisenberg" and continue the last part on the B7. This is as fast as driving over the "Hermsdorfer Kreuz". After having parked, you should orientate yourself on the high tower ("Intershop Tower"), in order to find the campus Ernst-Abbe-Platz.
